Research Center for Genomic Medicine
The Research Center for Genomic Medicine (RCGM) was established in September 2001 with the belief that pioneering research is important to excellence in medical
education and practice. Since that time, members at The RCGM have been researching with an emphasis on clinical applications (i.e., translational research in collaboration with clinical branches of the university). The RCGM, having a floor area of 7,570 m2, is Research on Mitochondrial Diseases well-equipped with an armamentarium which includes machines for high-throughput sequencing, DNA microarray and a cell sorter that performs almost all types of research.
With over 100 investigators and assistants involved, The RCGM aims to make significant contributions to the field of medical care by functioning as a research hub for the university.
