Medical Education Center

Developing the Saitama Medical University of Tomorrow, with Continuous Learning from Matriculation to Lifelong Self-Directed Learning

The Medical Education Center (MEC) was inaugurated on August 1st, 2003. The MEC plays a pivotal role in providing both the educational incentives and the necessary achievement of the university's founding objective: Educating competent medical practitioners.

In practice, the MEC handles a wide range of tasks which include undergraduate education, postgraduate courses, post-graduate clinical training, and the lifelong self-directed learning of physicians. In other words, the MEC is where the university's education programs are dealt with as a whole and are conducted in the most effective manner.

Accordingly, the MEC's role also involves surveying the ongoing educational processes of the university, undertaking self-evaluation, and enhancing the faculty's overview on education for further educational advancement and improvement.
