| Objectives and Current Status |

The objectives of the Association are to cultivate friendship,
improve welfare, promote science, and contribute to the growth
and development of the Alma Mater. Every graduate of this
Medical School becomes a regular member of the Association
by participating in the operation of the Association from
the first day after graduation, while the same student in
fact has already been a Student Member under the auspices
of the Association during the proceeding six years.
The current size of enrollment is approximately 3,700. They
are comprised by 2,731 full members, 643 student members,
approximately 300 special members, and 50 associate members.
The headquarters of Alumni Association is situated on the
6th floor of the Maruki Memorial Building, soaring above
the rest of the main campus, has a business office, an assembly
room, a reception room, and a small lecture hall equipped
with up-to-date audiovisual instruments.
The undertakings include publications of the membership list,
alumni bulletin and commemorative issues, financing of scholarship
for studying abroad and research grants-in-aid, sponsoring
student activities, coaching students for the National Examination
for Physicians, and so forth.
As for public relations, the Association is regularly dispatching
manifold messages to its members as well as to other members
of the Liaison Conference of the Alumni Association of All
Private Medical Schools in Japan on matters of mutual interest.
Members of this Alumni Association, with pride in Saitama
Medical School, their Alma Mater, pray for its further development
and growth and tender a wholehearted welcome to new students
on the their admission to this Medical School. |
