Libraries Provide With Data Bases And Electronic Journals In Addition To Books And Periodicals Necessary For Each Campus |

Saitama Medical School has three libraries, one attached
to each campus, respectively. The Main Library in Moroyama
Campus has four floors, a total area of 4,238 m2, 124 seats,
40 carrels, and app. 170,000 books, while Branch Library in
Kawakado Campus has two floors, app. 1,055 m2, 56 seats, app.
60,000 books, and Branch Room in the Saitama Medical Center
261 m2, 24 seats, and app. 20,000 books.
The book stock of the libraries comprises app. 1,500 kinds
of books and periodicals, as well as audiovisual items necessary
for Premedical, Preclinical, and Clinical Divisions.
The library offers not only lending and copying services but
also data base and electronic journals school-wide via utilization
of Local Area Network. |
